In my work, I explore the essence of light, color, texture and form through the lens of Photo Impressionism, incorporating Motion Blur and elements of Digital Pictorialism as well. My journey began as a film photographer, and later, when I began working in film and video production, I had a pivotal moment when I observed a live image on an on-set monitor. This experience revealed to me the potential between traditional film cameras and digital technology. Inspired by this, I began to move the camera intentionally during shots, creating the painterly, brush-like effect that defines my work.

What sets my photography apart is that all effects are achieved in-camera, on location, with no editing except for color correction and the occasional crop. I equate this process with the Impressionist painters of the past, who, thanks to the technological inventions of their time—new brushes, portable easels, and paint in tubes—had the freedom to experiment with new techniques in the field. Similarly, digital technology is like 'paint in tubes' for modern photographers, offering the freedom to escape the darkroom and venture directly into nature. This immediacy, coupled with digital storage capabilities, allows for greater experimentation and the ability to view and adjust images instantly, without the wait for film development.

My work reflects the transient nature of time and emotion, capturing movement in a way that words cannot. Through this exploration, I aim to evoke a deeper connection and understanding, encouraging viewers to find their own narratives within the blurred lines of my images.
